Coventry City are closing in on the play-offs after their 1-0 win at Walsall FC.

Franck Moussa's 54th minute goal lifted the Sky Blues to 13th in the table and if City beat bottom side Notts County next Saturday and results go their way, they could go up to eighth thanks to their goal difference which is the fifth best in the division.

Leyton Orient continue to lead the division after a 1-0 win over Rotherham United. They are three points clear of Wolves who went second after a 2-1 win at sixth placed Bradford City, whilst Peterborough dropped to third after a 1-0 loss at Colchester United.

Preston stay fourth after a 1-0 win at bottom side Notts County and are two points above Brentford who moved up to fifth with a 1-0 win over Shrewsbury.

At the other end of the table, Bristol City won for the first time in 22 away matches with a 4-2 win at Carlisle, Crewe dropped to 22nd with a 3-1 defeat at Sheffield United and are below Tranmere who beat MK Dons 3-2.

Elsewhere, Oldham beat Swindon 2-1, Port Vale beat Gillingham 2-1 and Stevenage beat Crawley 2-0.
