City Boss Needs His Squad To Stay Injury Free

Thorn trying to avoid injuries Coventry City manager Andy Thorn is doing his best to keep his squad free from injury. With the current situation at the club meaning that Thorn has to make do with the players he has at his disposoal, rather than being able to strength the squad at will as other Chamionship clubs have done, the City boss has had to wrap his players in cotton wool for the first three pre-season games to ensure that his squad which has lost the likes of Keiren Westwood, Marlon King and Aron Gunnarsson and has injuries to its current players such as Ben Turner, Gary Deegan, Clive Platt and Jordan Clarke, is not depleated further still. When asked by the CT's Andy Turner if he had any concerns, Thorn replied: “Just getting through 90 minutes without picking any injuries up, so we have got to be really careful. “As much as we are pushing we have just got to be careful but we can’t keep everyone under wraps forever. “Cranie was a bit sore before the game but he got through 45 minutes OK and Bakes took a little knock when he held on to the ball and when he had his tenth touch someone trod on his foot, so he’ll go back to two touches now.".
