City Boss On Boycott

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley expects the supporter boycotts to continue.

The Sky Blues are expecting a gate of around 2,000 for tomorrow's game against Colchester United, around five times less than they were getting for the same fixture last season at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.

The reason why City supporters are staying away are many and varied and asked if he thought more fans would put aside those reasons and end their boycott and attend tomorrow's game against Colchester United, the City boss told the Coventry Telegraph's Alan Poole:  “Probably not to be honest with you. I get the feeling from a big percentage of our supporters that they will not be attending our games there.

"We obviously want to play a style of football that would hopefully encourage them back but, again, we understand their stance and the truth is that until we return to Coventry we will not see the vast majority of those fans attending games.

"That’s just something we have to accept.”
