Boothroyd thinks promotion race will go to the wire. Coventry City's manager Aidy Boothroyd has agreed that this year's Npower Championship  is the tightest contest in years and that the top six will not be decided until the last game of the season. Boothroyd said that some idea of the form teams become evident after the first 10 or 12 games of the season, but this time he thinks that it will take around three times as many games before the contenders are revealed. He said, "A normal rule of thumb with the Championship is to wait ten or twelve games and then you kind of get an idea of how the table will shape up but at the moment we are going to have to wait 36 games before we get any idea." "What we have to do is make sure we are consistent and we will do that by learning from the mistakes we have made so far and I think we are doing that." "It's a long season so we are not going to play fantastically well every week but what we need to do is achieve that certain level of consistency and hang onto the coat tails of the guys at the top."
