Celtic have no interest in Westwood

Reports are inaccurate Recent media reports linking Coventry City's talented Irish international goal keeper Keiren Westwood with a move to Scottish club, Celtic are now being reported by the same outlets as 'wide of the mark'. The speculation arose after Celtic's first choice goal keeper Artur Boruc left the club leaving Celtic to find a replacement. Meanwhile, Westwood has been offered a greatly improved contract by Coventry City, but the player has yet to sign on the dotted line. As with all talented players, there is speculation surrounding moves to 'bigger' and 'better' clubs which can offer higher wages, but at Coventry City Westwood is more or less guaranteed regular first team football, which he may not get if he moves elsewhere. Without regular first team football, Westwood's international career may suffer. He has recently taken over the mantle of Ireland's number one 'keeper while Shay Given was out injured with a shoulder injury.
