Michael Byng has confirmed that his consortium have made an indicative bid for Coventry City Football Club Ltd.
Byng, who is in Dubai meeting Chinese investors, told the Coventry Telegraph's Les Reid: “An indicative bid was submitted before the administrator’s deadline of Friday.”
The bids which were made to Administrator Paul Appleton only express an interest in buying the assets of the company in administration and he continued; “That’s all it can be at the moment. The situation regarding the football club is a complete and utter mess.
“So it’s been very difficult to persuade investors to stay interested. But we’ve done it. They are also very interested in our rail infrastructure plans.”
