Hartlepool to have new manager in for City visit

Phil Brown, who was in the running for the manager's job at Coventry City, is due to be named as the new manager of Hartlepool United before they face the Sky Blues on Saturday

Brown, who has managed Hull City and Preston North End, watched Hartlepool's reserves lose 2-1 to Gateshead in the Central League Cup at The International Stadium in Gateshead, with his prospective backroom staff on Monday night and is according to the Hartlepool Mail due to be appointed before Saturday's game.

Brown will replace Neale Cooper.
