Brody fails in election attempt
No place on Football League board for City director One of Coventry City's directors, Canadian businessman Leonard Brody has failed in his attempt to be elected to the board of the Football League. He came last out of the four candidates. Mr Brody put his name into the hat after former Ipswich Town chairman David Sheepshanks stood down and created a vacancy on the board, but the chief executive of Leeds United Shaun Harvey won the vote when he received eight of the 19 valid votes cast. Colin Sexton of Bristol City polled seven votes, Blackpool owner Karl Oyston got three while Brody had just one vote.
