Bothroyd: It's a must win game

No excuses, we must go out and win. Former Coventry city striker and current Cardiff City captain Jay Bothroyd has told his players, “No excuses, we must go out and win.” when they meet his old club at The Ricoh Arena on Tuesday evening. Both teams need to win the game. Cardiff need to win to retain their place in the top six and Coventry need to make up the three point deficit  they have on Cardiff if they are to make progress in their play off ambitions. Cardiff are currently experiencing a poor run away from home, losing their last four games, but Bothroyd believes the travelling Cardiff fans will play their part in urging the Bluebirds on at The Ricoh. Bothroyd said, “The fans are behind us, they always are and that’s great to know. We are doing everything we can to give them the results they all want. Our performance against Leicester City was better and we dominated large parts of the game. But we have to pick up points, starting at Coventry tomorrow."“Automatic promotion looks out of the question, but we’ll take each game as it comes and pick up as many points as possible. “Certainly, we are still striving for a top-six finish and believe we can achieve that. It will be a tough match at Coventry, but we are ready for that
