Boothroyd: We are in reasonable shape
Half term report Speaking after the hard fought 1-1 draw at home to Ipswich last Saturday, City boss Aidy Boothroyd has said he believes the club are in reasonable shape at the mid point of the season. He thought the point earned against Ipswich was a positive result saying, "My gut feeling is that this is a positive result for us." City went behind to a late first half strike from Town's Rory Fallon, but drew level shortly after the break though Freddy Eastwood, but then had striker Marlon King sent off for a late challenge on Darren O'Dea. City had to play the remainder of the game with ten men, but held on to secure a point. Bothroyd said, "When you come from 1-0 down and have a man sent off, it's good to get something from the game. We might look back at this at the end of the season and say that this was a good result for us." "We had a good seeing to at Cardiff and we responded well against QPR in the first half but they are a good side and deserve to be where they are in the table so this was good for morale and confidence. "We are in reasonable shape at the turn into the second half of the season,but we are all judged at the end of the season. Ipswich are not far off the play-offs and we are not far off 19th and we have to remember that because we are only halfway through."
