Boothroyd not concerned by top-six record

Aidy Boothroyd is not losing any sleep over Coventry`s inability to take points off their fellow promotion contenders and looks back to his time in charge of Watford for comfort. City dropped to seventh in the Championship with Tuesday`s 2-0 home defeat to leaders QPR, a result which leaves the club with just a solitary point (away to Reading) from a possible 21 against teams in the top six. But Boothroyd insists the predicament is not too dissimilar from that which faced his Watford side in 2005/06 before they finished third in the second tier and went on to beat Leeds in the play-off final. Asked whether Coventry`s form against those around them is a concern, Boothroyd replied: "Not really. I can remember doing a press conference around December 2005 and someone asking me the same question. "We couldn`t beat any of them and in the end we managed to get promotion and beat a team who were said to be far better than us. "So it`s not where you are at the beginning or even the middle, it`s what you`re like at the end. That`s when we`re all judged, that`s when it goes in the almanacs - the final league table. Now we`ve just got to take these couple of defeats and move on."
