Boothroyd: Keiren's still league's best

Coventry manager Aidy Boothroyd was left to rue "two daft errors" as his charges went down 2-1 to Nottingham Forest. In-form City striker Marlon King broke the deadlock against his former employers midway through an entertaining first half. But the Sky Blues soon found themselves level as highly-rated goalkeeper Keiren Westwood was left red-faced having been deceived by Lewis McGugan`s long-range effort. Coventry`s defence then switched off for a bizarre second soon after as Guy Moussi felt a muscle strain on the right wing but, with City having stopped for the injury and the ball still in play, the Frenchman managed to send in a cross which Robert Earnshaw duly finished from 12 yards. "We conceded two very poor goals," said Boothroyd, whose side are now winless in nine games. "We talk about managing a game and understanding how to win a game and Forest have shown us how to do that, how to slow it down, how to stop momentum. "They have been around for a while and they are at the top for a reason because they have been well drilled over a number of months and years and they know what they are doing. "Here, two daft errors have cost us. Keiren Westwood is the best goalkeeper in the Championship without a shadow of a doubt and he has made an error but that's football, sometimes your best players do make errors. But he has held his hand up, he gets on with it and that`s it."
