Boothroyd keen to bolster squad

Boss Aidy Boothroyd is happy with the squad at his disposal for the start of the new Championship season but admits he would like a couple more new faces before the close of the transfer window. Boothroyd has so far made seven signings this summer in Lee Carsley, Gary McSheffrey, Lukas Jutkiewicz, Richard Keogh, Roy O'Donovan, Clive Platt and Stephen O'Halloran. No further additions are expected ahead of Saturday`s opener but Boothroyd, who is looking at Francis Laurent on trial, is likely to dip back into the market before August 31. He told Sky Blues Player: "We`ve got a good enough squad and a strong enough squad to get up against Portsmouth for the first game and perhaps the first two or three games but as time goes on your squad is tested. "I think we may be a couple short for the full duration of the 46 games. "But where we are now I`m quite pleased with it, although we`ve still got a little bit to do."
