City boss hopes to field an injury free team Coventry City boss Aidy Boothroyd is keeping his fingers crossed that his international players return to the club from their international duty injury free. Sammy Clingan has already returned to the Ryton training ground after his Northern Ireland side's 1-0 win over Slovenia. Clingan is fit and ready for Saturday's home game against Leicester. The other two players on international duty were Kieren Westwood and Aron Gunnarsson. Westwood spent the games on the bench so should be uninjured, but Gunnarsson played 90 minutes, but as far as Boothroyd knows, he was not injured. He said, “Sammy didn’t play so he’s OK and is back with us, Keiren didn’t play and Aron played 90 minutes but I have had no bad news from there so he’s fine as well. He and Keiren had another game last night so we hope they got through that.” Speaking about the rest of the squad, he said, “They had a long weekend and we need to come back and hit the ground running to make sure we hang on to the coat tails of those teams above us because we have got another group of important games before the next international break.”
