Boothroyd hit by injuries

Fourteen players missed training yesterday Coventry City boss Aidy Boothroyd faces a challenge putting a side together for tomorrows trip to Bristol as his squad is being ravished by injuries.  Martin Cranie (ankle) and David Bell (hamstring) missed the home game with Leicester last week after pulling out of the squad at the last minute and are still highly doubtful for Saturday. Strikers Gary McSheffrey (hamstring) and Lukas Jutkiewicz (knee) both limped off during the Leicester game and are also likely to miss out. Danny Ward had to be replaced on Tuesday night at Swansea and is nursing a minor injury.  Already out of contention were striker Freddy Eastwood (knee) and defender James McPake (shin). Chris Hussey, Stephen O'Halloran, Gary Deegan and Isaac Osbourne are all out with long term injuries. Emergency loan signing goal keeper Iain Turner has returned to Everton after his one month loan period expired. On a more positive note, Gary McSheffrey may be fit enough by Saturday and will train today. Ward will have a late fitness test and if he passes, will be in the City side to face Bristol.
