Boothroyd happy despite late goal

Boss Aidy Boothroyd refused to criticise his team too much after a late equaliser meant Coventry had to settle for a 1-1 draw at Doncaster. Rovers secured a 1-1 draw thanks to an 88th-minute James Hayter goal after the Sky Blues had scored first through Freddy Eastwood. Despite his side's late setback, Boothroyd said: "I thought we were the better team and I couldn't pick a bad performance among any of our players. "The equaliser was an awful goal to concede from our point of view but we can't feel sorry for ourselves, we just have to get on with it." Youngster Michael Quirke played in goal because of injuries and Boothroyd said: "I was really pleased with his all-round performance and only disappointed for him that he didn't keep the clean sheet he deserved. "He's our third choice but you have to give young talent a chance. He's a very good shot-stopper and I'd be happy to go with him rather than bring someone in on loan if the injuries don't clear up."
