Manager blames agent for the story. Coventry City boss has denied that Leicester made an approach for Sammy Clingan yesterday. Boothroyd reiterated that Clingan is not for sale and that the Northern Ireland international figures in his plans for the club. Responding to the reports that Leicester had asked about Clingan, Boothroyd said, “There’s nothing in that.” “I think it is a case of his agent trying to get him a game before last Saturday when he played, trying to put the onus on me to put him in the team. He’s a player I like and want and I certainly won’t be loaning him out to any of our rivals, particularly our local rivals.” Clingan made his first appearance for the Sky Blues in last Saturday's defeat at Millwall.
