Boothroyd concerned by "naive" display

Coventry manager Aidy Boothroyd has asked his players to be a little smarter despite a 2-1 victory against Doncaster at the Ricoh Arena.

Gary McSheffrey headed a late winner for the Sky Blues with four minutes remaining to bring up City's fourth npower Championship win of the season. But Boothroyd admitted he thought his men needed to use their common sense to ensure they can build upon the result.

"My players have to understand how to manage a game when they are on the pitch and not get too excited," he said.

"With five minutes to go my centre-halves were going up for free-kicks. Why? I just want them to defend.

"We can't keep giving away silly goals. We will score but we also have good defenders and we should be keeping more clean sheets."
