Boothroyd aims to keep winning run going at Bramall Lane
Look ahead to Saturday's trip to Sheffield Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd is aiming to keep the momentum his team has built up in recent games going when he takes his side to Bramall Lane on Saturday. Coventry City do not have the best record at Bramall Lane. They have come away from there with just three points from three draws in their last seven visits and have not won at Bramall Lane since a 1-0 win in 2001. However, recent wins at Ashton Gate and Portman Road have proved that Coventry City have the ability to won at so called bogey grounds and so visit Sheffield United in confident mood. The Blades are having an indifferent season this year as they rebuild under new manager Gary Speed. They have one of the worst home records in the division and have only won two games at home this season, drawing one and losing three. The make matters worse, they have only scored five goals at home all season, a record which makes them the league's joint lowest scorers with Hull and Scunthorpe. Boothroyd is in confident mood ahead of Saturday's trip to Yorkshire. He said, “We have got a nice few wins behind us and we are going to a game at Sheffield United where if you are looking at it you think it could go either way". “So it is exciting because there would have been a time when we would have been going up there and Coventry fans would be thinking, umm... not sure about that one, shall I wait until they have a home game, because that’s the nature of the Championship and consistency wins in any league." “We will be up against a team that has got a new manager like us in a transition, if you like. They have changed the way they play and Gary is trying to play more of a passing game with players that are left there from Neil Warnock’s reign." "He’s trying to put his own ideas and philosophies onto the club and it will be a different Sheffield United that we face, but it will be a tough game because they always are up there because it’s a difficult place to go, but it is a place where I think if we maintain what we have been doing and keep improving on it then we can get a positive result there.” Darius Henderson will probably be out of Saturday's game as he continues to recover from injury. Henderson was Marlon King's partner when the pair were with Boothroyd at Watford. Boothroyd said, “Henderson has spent a lot of time out injured. We managed to get a couple of good seasons out of him at Watford and sold him for a couple of million to Sheffield United and it has not really happened for him there, but, having said that, they have got a lot of players there and they will be expecting to do well again, so we have got to be aware of them and be aware of what their weaknesses are and try to exploit them.”
