The fans are even snapping up replica masks to match the headgear he is wearing to protect his fractured cheekbone.
"It is great to hear the fans singing my name again," he told the Coventry Telegraph. "It really lifts me.
"The first statement I made about them when they were giving me a bit of stick was that there is always light at the end of the tunnel and I think it is coming now and they are showing their love, so I need to show my love back.
"I feel I have definitely turned it round and that makes me feel better as a person. They are wearing the masks as well - it's all love isn't it!"
