Winger is out to win on Saturday Coventry City winger David bell has said the team need to win back the fans and to do that they need to start winning again. Bell said that he thought the team played a lot better in their defeat at Sheffield United last Saturday and he thought they were unlucky not to come away without at least a point. In a confident mood, he said, “We have got Preston at home this week and it is a game we think we can win, and if we apply ourselves the way we did on Saturday then, being in front of our home fans, I am sure we can get a result." “We have been on a bad run and it would be nice to get a result for the supporters and maybe win them back a bit. They have to remember that we are just as gutted as they are on this bad run. We all want to win and hopefully we can do that on Saturday and get them cheering again.” Bell had admitted that he much prefers to play on the right wing, but is happy to fill in on the left if he has to like he did on Easter Monday at Reading. The 26 year old said, "I think I was a lot better than in recent weeks and I thought the performances of the team was better too, but I feel things just aren't dropping for us at the moment. It was important for us to get back to performing properly again and I thought we did that at Sheffield, where we were a bit unlucky wit their goal." "All the lads were devastated afterwards because we are desperate to get back to winning ways and now we have got the performance right, hopefully the result will follow.” He went on to say, “I thought the game had draw written all over it. A point at Sheffield United is never a bad result and I think we would have been happy with that because as I said, the performance was right and it was important for us to get back to playing properly.” Asked for his opinion why there was a sudden drop in form, he admitted he didn't know, saying, “I am not sure. It is something the whole dressing room has spoken about and I don’t think it is one individual thing, it’s the whole team but it was good to get back to a good team performance." “We haven’t had a great deal of chances and I think that’s down to the performances we have been putting in when we have been going a goal behind and then heads drop a bit. We have been under the cosh a bit in games but we put in a better overall display on Saturday and we have got to build on that and hopefully the results will follow in the last three games." “All the boys are desperate to get back to winning ways because we want to be going up the table and not looking down. The gaffer said our effort and commitment was first class and that things aren’t dropping for us at the minute, but that’s what happens when you are on a bad run, and we have been on a bad run, but hopefully after getting the performance right the results will follow.”
