Adam Barton is to replace Conor Thomas in the Coventry City line up for their League One game against Tranmere Rovers at Sixfields Stadium on Saturday (2pm).
Thomas is suspended after picking up his fifth booking in the 3-3 draw at Bradford City on Sunday and City manager Steven Pressley has opted for Barton, telling Andy Turner from the Coventry Telegraph: “Adam will come in this weekend.
“Billy played his first game since his hernia op in the Under-21s this week and did really well, but Adam did well against Wimbledon and was disappointed to be left out against Bradford and has another opportunity this weekend.
“As I have said before, I am a huge supporter of Adam but it’s just that the other two have been doing so well.”
