Carl Baker To Compete In Golf Day

Carl Baker is the latest Coventry City player player that the Coventry City Former Players Association expect to take part in our ever popular Golf Day 2013 taking place on Thursday 6th June 2013 at Stoneleigh Deer Park Golf Club (SDPGC). Together with ‘Oggy’ he will represent ‘CCFC today’ along with around 20 former players of the Club.

Carl, the Sky Blues ‘Player of the Year’, swept the board taking all the supporter awards as well the awards at the Club’s recent Annual Awards Dinner at the Royal Court Hotel and was also the recipient of the G-Casino-CCFPA Player of the Year Award.  Carl is a 16 handicapper and is really looking forward to the day.

There will be many other contenders for the ‘Buildbase Cup’, and  a new champion since CCFPA member and Sky Blue star of the eighties David Smith is unfortunately unable to defend his 2012 title.

We also have two ‘longest drive’ holes as well as a couple of ‘nearest the pins’, why not test your skill alongside some true Sky Blue Legends including:-Gerry Baker; Peter Billing; Andy Blair; Jeff Blockley; Ken Brown; Dietmar Bruck; Paul Culpin; Ron Farmer; Kevin Gallacher; Ian Goodwin;  Bobby Gould; Trevor Gould; Micky Gynn; Peter Hormantshuck; Lee Hurst; Claus Bech Jorgensen; Mick Kearns; Steve Ogrizovic. Ian Wallace and Peter Wyer.

This is your last opportunity to enter as an individual (£80) or a team of three (£240). Each team will be paired with a Sky Blue star of the past. The price also includes a splendid evening meal.  The deadline for entry is Monday 3rd June at 5pm.  To enter, contact SDPGC direct through Linda Edmondson 02476 639991 (all cheques to be made out to ‘CCFPA’).

Why not join us on what promises to be yet another memorable day?
