Baker - Coventry need to toughen up

Coventry City midfielder Carl Baker has said that the City team need to toughen up.

Speaking to Sky Blue Player, Baker: said: "There is no point in playing nice football if we are getting beat week in, week out. We have to toughen up a bit and start being a bit more physical as well.

"Teams seem to enjoy playing against us and that has to change along with us conceding silly goals. It is really disappointing.

"It isn't like teams are cutting us open and scoring 'worldy' goals so it is really frustrating. We have to get the basics covered and fight our way out of this situation.

"We have had a really difficult November but played well and to a degree, that makes this loss here even worse. We felt like the game was there to win and that makes it so disappointing.

"But with Hull next week, we will believe it is a game we can get something out of so we need to step up and do better for the side.

"We got some games coming up now, which while there are no easy games in the Championship, are easier than the ones we have played. Once we get that first win and stop the rut, it is up to us to push on.

"Things can always change and there is still another half of a season to go yet and we won't give up as we still believe we can get out of it."
