The Administrator for Coventry City Football Club Ltd, Paul Appleton has said that CCFC Ltd is not without assets.
In a press statement, according to Free Radio's Darryl Murphy, Mr Appleton who is a managing partner of David Rubin & Partners LLP who were appointed by SISU to look after CCFC Ltd whilst it is in administration said: "Much of the [media] coverage has been inaccurate and seemingly ill-informed.
"CCFC Ltd is not completely without assets. The primary asset of the Company is the lease and licence for the Ricoh Arena.
"There are also other assets which allow for the purposes of the Administration to be achieved.
"Solicitors acting for the Club’s holding company have asserted a claim to the Football League Golden Share and I am investigating.
"As for the Players contracts and registrations, documents registered with the Football League show they are held by the holding company."
