Birmingham City manager Chris Hughton felt the 1-1 draw at Coventry City on Saturday lunch-time gave them an important point.
Speaking to the Press Association, Hughton said; "Marlon isn't a kid, he's an experienced player. I think it's probably tougher if you are a younger player but Marlon is a player with great experience.
"I think he knows the importance of the job he does and you can't allow it to affect you.
"Marlon worked very hard today on what was quite a difficult pitch. I thought Marlon's hold-up play was very good and that's two goals in two games now and I'm pleased for him particularly coming back to an old club - it always means that little bit more.
"It is an important point. It was important we didn't lose here and how important that will be only the 28th of April will tell."
