Absent Players Cost us - Jackett

Opposing Manager's View Kenny Jackett blamed the players not playing for Millwall's 2-1 defeat at Coventry City this afternoon. Speaking to the Press Association after the match, Jackett said: "Our front two were not playing today for different reasons, we lost our captain in the warm-up and I think it perhaps showed in the start. "We were quite tentative in our play which is not like us. We gave a bad goal away which put us 1-0 down. We clawed our way back into the game with 11. Even with 10 we did very well. "The players put on a good performance but right now it is a sense of frustration for me because it is an opportunity where we were unlucky today to get nothing out of the game whatsoever. "We are four points off the play-offs with four games left and there is six points available in three days. "I have got no complaints with the referee today. We have had two strikers sent off in two matches. I don't know what the reason was for it. "I have not spoken to Neil at length but I am sure I will. These things happen. As a club we will come through it and there are opportunities for other people to fill those roles. "I will be speaking to my chief executive to see if we have a recall on any of our strikers on loan although I think Ashley Grimes is currently suspended." -->
