Crewe Alexandra manager Steve Davis felt his side's 2-2 draw against Coventry City was a good result.
Davis told the Press Association: "There was plenty of spirit in there and it was a good result for us. It was hard fought.
"We went 1-0 up but couldn't hold on to it as they got the two goals but that's the first time we have come back from going behind and that is a big plus.
"The last two games we have shown some real fight and determination. You can see the confidence coming back for a lot of them but we can still do better.
"But I think you can see a different spirit in there and I always felt we would score.
"They had a lot of possession at the back which we allowed them to have but they knew we were a threat when they gave it away because they kept giving fouls away.
"I was pleased for Tom, who didn't get many chances but he scored and set one up so we have no complaints about that.
"Tom and Chuks haven't played together much so the partnership is new. They tried to combine and they couldn't do any more than they did with the goals - they took them very calmly."
