A Look At City V Gillingham

Sunday's League One game will be the 45th meeting between Coventry City and Gillingham. 

In those 44 league and cup matches between the two sides, Coventry have won twenty one with ten draws, scoring 95 goals to Gillingham's 61.

Of the twenty two matches played in Coventry (all at Highfield Road), City have won twelve and drawn five.

City's biggest home win was the 7-1 Third Division South victory at Highfield Road on August 26th 1933. In the away game of that season, City won 7-3 at Gillingham.

Gillingham's last win Coventry was a 2-1 win on February 2nd 2002 and the last game against the Gills, who have not played at the Ricoh Arena, in Coventry, was on Wednesday September 15th 2004.

This finished in a 2-2 draw with Andy Morrell and Stern John giving City a 2-0 lead just after the restart before Patrick Agyemang struck in the 64th and 76th minute to equalise.
