Yeates waits for Eagles move

Colchester United winger Mark Yeates will have to wait to seal his proposed move to Crystal Palace.

The 23-year-old failed a Selhurst Park medical earlier in the week, having failed to fully recover from a shoulder injury which cut short his involvement for the U's last season.

Yeates was sidelined from early February, as Colchester slipped to relegation from the Championship.

Eagles boss Neil Warnock confirmed: "We've spoken to Mark about a move, but he has a major problem with his shoulder.

"It's something that needs to be sorted out, but we won't know now for another three to four weeks."
