Colchester United boss Geraint Williams was less than pleased with the performance of referee Pat Miller during his side's 3-1 home defeat to Hull City.
U's defender Phil Ifil was red-carded just 14 minutes into the game at Layer Road, leaving the home side to battle on with ten men against the in-form Tigers.
Williams told The Gazette: "I lost count of all of the bookings. I'm not sure what they were all for and I won't know until I get confirmation from the referee."
Meanwhile, Ifil is still in shock at being dismissed for the first time in his career for a clash with Fraizer Campbell.
He added: "I was disappointed and shocked. He ran across me and we clipped heels, but the referee said that I'd gone for violent conduct.
"It's not in my nature to be a dirty player, I have never been like that."
