Williams backs Sheri red

Colchester United boss Geraint Williams had no complaints about veteran striker Teddy Sheringham's sending-off in the 1-0 defeat at Coventry City at the weekend.
Sheringham, who has been struggling with a hamstring injury, was dismissed for lashing out at Michael Doyle in the final minute of the reverse at the Ricoh Arena.
Williams told the East Anglian Daily Times: "Teddy is an experienced player and he should have known better, but everyone gets frustrated.
"He seemed to catch the lad with an arm and he gave the referee little choice.
"I have no complaints with the red card and it's a pity because we will now miss him for three matches.
"Teddy's been out for a while and he was desperate to get out there and play, but now we will be robbed of him for a few games."
