Vernon considers U's exit

Colchester United striker Scott Vernon has admitted that he may seek a move away from the League One club to try and secure regular first-team football. The 24-year-old has made just two starts for the U's in the last two months and is frustrated by a lack of opportunities. He told The Gazette: "It's very frustrating, as no player likes being on the bench. "But you have to take it one game at a time and work hard to get back into the team. I know I have to be patient. "But I'm 25 this week and I'm not getting any younger in football terms. "Obviously if things don't change, I will have to address the situation. I just want to play football."
