Colchester United have started their search for a new assistant manager after confirming that Micky Adams has left the club with immediate effect. The former Coventry City and Leicester City boss moved to Layer Road in the summer after being named as Mick Harford's successor. The 46-year-old is keen to return to full management and had been linked with the vacant position at Swindon Town. Adams started his managerial career with Fulham more than a decade ago and has also been boss at Swansea City, Brentford and Brighton.
