U's boss patient on striker hunt

Colchester United manager John Ward will not be pressured into finding a quick replacement for Clive Platt.The striker, 32, joined Coventry on Wednesday and York's Richard Brodie has been linked with the U's. "There's no immediate rush to get someone in but obviously we have a list of targets and I'll be chatting to my scouting unit," Ward told BBC Essex.
