Colchester United boss Geraint Williams hailed the performance of Jamie Cureton after the striker bagged a brace in Friday's 2-1 win over Southampton.
Cureton fired the U's into a fourth minute lead at St Mary's and, after Marek Saganowski had equalised for the Saints, sealed the points with a first-half winner.
"Jamie works extremely hard and is reaping the rewards this season," said Williams.
"We know if we get the ball in the box he'll do the rest and his second was a top-class finish.
"Any manager would give their right arm to have someone who will get you near on 20 goals."
