Striker Platt signs Coventry deal

Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd has signed striker Clive Platt from his former club Colchester United on a one-year contract for a nominal fee.The 32-year-old also has a one-year option and becomes the Sky Blues' seventh summer signing. Boothroyd said: "Clive is one of the most under-rated players I have ever worked with." Platt could play his first game for Coventry in Saturday's friendly at home to West Brom.
