    Short absence for Yeates

    05 Feb 2008 - 11:59:50

Colchester United midfielder Mark Yeates could return to action within two weeks despite suffering a dislocated shoulder in the weekend draw with Sheffield United.

The 23-year-old midfielder had to go to hospital to have the shoulder put back in place after physio Tony Flynn struggled to sort the injury out on the pitch.

Flynn told United's official website: "Mark knew straight away that it had popped out and came over to see if we could get it back in.

"It wasn't possible to do it here at the ground so we sent him off to hospital with the youth team physio.

"While we were trying to put it back, the adrenaline was probably stopping Mark feel too much pain, but he said it was agony at the hospital.

"We'll need to do as much strengthening work on the area around the shoulder as soon as Mark is able to and, with it being put back in place quite quickly, we should have him back in two or three weeks."
