Colchester United striker Clive Platt has pledged his future to the Championship strugglers, despite the U's looking set to drop down to League One next season.
The 30-year-old joined the U's for a club record £300,000 at the start of the season from MK Dons and has scored eight goals in 38 appearances this term.
Platt told the East Anglian Daily Times: "Of course I won't be happy to be playing in League One, because I want to be playing in the Championship.
"However, most of the players here are on extended contracts and we have a very good manager at the helm."
Meanwhile, the U's have dismissed reports suggesting that leading scorer Kevin Lisbie is facing around a month out of action with a calf injury.
The 29-year-old, who has scored 15 goals this season, is already back in full training at Layer Road.
