Perkins keen to leave U's

David Perkins has rocked Colchester United by handing in a transfer request.
The former Morecambe and Rochdale midfielder is keen to leave the club because of his lack of first-team opportunities.
Caretaker manager Joe Dunne confirmed: "David has handed in a transfer request.
"I can understand his frustrations as he hasn't played a great deal, His reasons are genuine and he just wants to play football, and he has been good for the club.
"We will see how it unfolds, but things might change next week."
