Mills extends U's stay

Colchester United boss Geraint Williams has extended Matthew Mills' loan spell at Layer Road for another month.

The Manchester City defender initially joined the U's at the end of January and has made six appearances for the play-off chasing Championship club.

The 20-year-old will now remain with Colchester until March 24.

Mills has made two appearances for Stuart Pearce's side, against Chelsea and Wigan Athletic this season, since joining the Premiership club from Southampton just over one year ago.
