Colchester United striker Kevin Lisbie has vowed to stay with the club even if they are relegated to League One.

The 29-year-old joined the U's last summer after being released by Charlton Athletic and has scored 16 goals in 39 games for Colchester despite their struggles.

Lisbie commented: "No other club wanted to know me in the summer because they were worried about my injury record.

"Colchester were the only club to show faith in me and give me a chance, so I'm not even thinking about leaving yet.

"I know there's not a lot of loyalty in football, but I feel I owe the club a debt of gratitude."
