Lambert snares loanee Vincent

Colchester United have completed the signing of Cheltenham Town midfielder Ashley Vincent on an emergency loan deal.

Paul Lambert will be able to call on the services of the former Wolves trainee until the end of the season, including the play-offs if the U's reach them.

"Ashley is someone I've seen play a few times," Lambert told the club's official website.

"He played well against us in both of the matches against Cheltenham and, since then, Ian Culverhouse has watched him maybe half-a-dozen times.

"We need a bit of speed in the team and Ashley gives us that. He can play down the right or through the middle, so he'll give us an extra option going forward."
