Colchester United have completed the loan capture of defender Lee Hills from Crystal Palace.
Hills, 18, has joined the U's on an initial one-month basis, having first being linked with the club during Kit Symons' temporary spell in charge.
Current boss Paul Lambert followed up the initial interest and landed Hills after inviting the England Under-19 international to train with his side.
"Right now I feel I need to get some more first-team football and this move to Colchester will hopefully offer me that," said Hills.
"The gaffer has been fantastic with me. He knows that I am an ambitious guy who loves his football and wants to develop as best I can.
"He also knows that, at this moment in time, he can't offer me that and has helped me get this move to Colchester."
