Ephraim extends U's stay

Colchester United have extended Hogan Ephraim's loan spell at Layer Road until the end of the season. The 18-year-old West Ham United starlet has already spent two months with the U's and has helped the club maintain their shock play-off challenge. Ephraim has still to start a game for the Championship side, but has made six appearances from the substitute's bench. The teenager, who will remain with Colchester until May 21, has made one appearance, in last season's Carling Cup victory at Sheffield Wednesday, for the Hammers.
