Davison to carry on

Colchester United's veteran goalkeeper Aidan Davison has decided to postpone his retirement and has penned a new one-year contract that will keep him at Layer Road until the end of next season.
The 38-year-old ex-Bradford City and Grimsby Town shot-stopper has made more than 100 appearances for the U's and is happy to remain with the club despite recently losing his place in the first team to Dean Gerken.
"I've been retiring for about five years now," Davison joked on the club's official website.
"I just feel that there's a bit of life left in me yet and I want to keep going in the professional game.
"I also want to help Dean to continue to develop and I thought that, while I can still do that, I'd carry on."
