Cousins relishes U's chance

Colchester United goalkeeper Mark Cousins is hoping to cement his place in the U's starting eleven, having impressed in the 1-0 FA Cup first round defeat by Leyton Orient at the weekend. The 21-year-old's previous three starts for United had come in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy, but Cousins now hopes to get a run in Paul Lambert's side. He told The Gazette: "Now I've got my chance, I hope to take it. As a goalkeeper, you have to be patient and I've had to bide my time. "My next aim is to start against Walsall this weekend and hopefully get a run in the side, which is what any goalkeeper wants. "I just have to keep working hard in training and hopefully I'll be selected."
