Colchester offer pair contracts

League One outfit Colchester United have offered contracts to trialists Ben Coker and Lloyd James.

Manager John Ward has been impressed with the pair after they helped the side win three consecutive pre-season friendlies recently.

Coker is currently attached to Southern League side Bury Town while James is available on a free after his release from Southampton.

Speaking to the club's official website, Ward said: "We've made offers to those two. I informed them on Friday as promised and they're mulling over their offers and we'll see what they say."
