Beevers faces anxious wait

Colchester United defender Lee Beevers will have a scan to discover the extent of the shoulder injury he suffered at MK Dons on Saturday.

The 25-year-old former Lincoln City full-back suffered a dislocated shoulder after colliding with Dons winger Jemal Johnson.

Club physio Tony Flynn said: "When I ran on, I wasn't sure what the damage was going to be but, at the time of the collision, it didn't look too serious.

"Unfortunately, it soon became clear that Lee had dislocated his shoulder. We tried and put the shoulder back in at the ground but couldn't so Lee was sent to hospital and the shoulder was put back in place there.

"We're awaiting results on the scans Lee has had and, early next week, we'll see a consultant to see if an operation is needed or strengthening work will do the trick."
