Baldwin agrees U's deal

Colchester United have secured the future of Pat Baldwin after the U's defender agreed a new two-year contract.

Baldwin moved to Layer Road after being released by Chelsea in 2002 and has gone on to make 137 appearances for the Essex club.

"Negotiations have been going on for a while now so it's nice to get it all sorted out. I've loved every minute of being here," he told BBC Essex.

"We've had so much success here and we can still achieve more. I'm settled in the area and am just looking forward to doing my best for Colchester."
